Although Def Jam is not the label it once was a Hip Hop forced to be reckoned with its still a viable entity.
Remember when Def Jam was hot? LLCool J should have been the king of Def Jam. He practically built that label on talent alone. How about Public Enemy the most progressive group in the history of Hip Hop. Slick Rick, Method Man, JaRule, DMX, Cam'ron, and to name a mere few.
How can we not acknowledge and give praise to the entire of all the Rocafella Records and its movement created by visionary Dame Dash and the most successful rapper in history of Hip Hop Jay Z.
We can not conclude this blog with out mentioning Def Jam South's most underrated emcee Ludacrise, who helped put the South on the map.
Lastly the R&B take over with Rhianna Neyo, Amerie, Chrisette Michele, Electrik Red , Jeremih, and the biggest selling singles artist in music history Mariah Carey is now the new era of Def Jam.
We hope Rick Ross Fab,Jada, & Ghostface & Ludacris can bring back the lackluster imprint that one ruled supreme.

You in the mood cause you

Don't stop moving
Let me see you, let me see you go
Back, back forth and forth [x4]

Now it's time for you
To make your move to the dance floor
So throw your hands in the air
And wave them around like you just don't care

G mentality peace to soul train
So if the DJ keep on moving

According to our peers at Woooha Def Jam ain't feeling Jay-Z jumpng ship to Warner. Here's what going down at Def Jam. Seems like Def Jam Records has a vendetta against Jay for leaving the label. Def Jam revealed today that they intend to re-package 2001’s Blueprint album along with 2002’s Blueprint 2, titling it The Blueprint Collection. Included with a collectors item poster the combined album package will sale for a discounted priced. Def Jam sets to release The Blueprint Collector’s Edition on September 8th, three days before The Blueprint 3 which releases September 11th on Atlantic Records. Should this be taken personal or is it just a smart business move which will confuse consumers on which Blueprint to buy.
Could this possibly hurt Jay-Z’s record sales or will people boycott the Def Jam release?
